Carrot Cake Oatmeal

While this recipe does add some extra veggies to your breakfast, it's also just straight up delicious!

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup Rolled oats
  • 1 cup Water
  • 1 Apple chopped
  • 2 Baby carrots shredded
  • 1 pinch Salt
  • 1/2 tsp Cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp Pumpkin pie spice
  • 1/2 tbsp Ground flaxseed If you only have whole flaxseeds, you can grind it yourself in a coffee grinder

Instructions

  • Add all the ingredients minus the apple and carrots to a small-medium pot and bring to medium heat
  • After 2-3 minutes, add in the apple and carrots, cooking until all of the water is absorbed and the oats are at your desired consistency (if you prefer your oats a big thinner, feel free to add a bit more water or milk)
  • Adjust seasonings as needed and pour oatmeal into a bowl
  • Enjoy!
